The 3D Visualisation in the Arts Network (3DVisA) supports those using 3D visualisation in Arts and Humanities subjects in Higher Education throughout the UK. It is hosted by King’s Visualisation Lab in the Centre for Computing in the Humanities at King’s College London.
3DVisA enhances and extends 3D visualisation-related knowledge, understanding and opportunities in Arts and Humanities domains, where an increasing number of researchers, educators, and learners are creating and using 3D visualisation technologies. Through outputs and activities such as its Bulletin, Index of 3D Projects, profiles of funding opportunities, reports, student award, and annual interdisciplinary conference organised jointly with VizNET, 3DVisA bridges the gap in the sharing of knowledge and skills among projects within Arts and Humanities disciplines, and between these and other domains.
3DVisA is also the Secretariat of The London Charter for the use of 3-dimensional Visualisation in the Research and Communication of Cultural Heritage, through which, with colleagues in the EPOCH Network of Excellence, it coordinates research on methods and standards both nationally and internationally.
