At vizNET 2008, on day one, we offer an intersections orientation workshop on networking across domains to assist participants to make the most of both, the networking opportunities, and the information on diverse areas of visualisation that will be presented over the following two and a half days. We present a terminology index drawn from participants' poster and video abstracts in order to facilitate discussion and mitigate possible misunderstandings of terminology across domains.
In addition, on day three, we conclude vizNET 2008 with a workshop in the Intersections in Arts / Humanities and Science / Engineering which aims to establish an international medium for the exchange of new ideas and practical experience between researchers working in the field of visualization from scientific and engineering applications to the arts and humanities.
