The surgeries usually take place using AccessGrid video conferencing software allowing experts from around the country to add their input to the challenge. These experts have expertise in all aspects of visualization from conceptual problems such as data representation, statistical analysis, visual analytics through to performance related problems where we have access to specialists in volume rendering, distributed rendering systems and virtual reality techniques.
